I also wanted to say thank you so much for your professionalism and support throughout this process. I can see why Amacare is one of the top Nanny & Caregiver Agencies in Toronto. I have a few friends who will be looking for nannies in the next couple of years and will wholeheartedly refer anyone I know who is looking for a Nanny/Caregiver to you and your Agency.

I have met Harlet a number of times on my visits to my parents, and I must say how well she is working out.  I am so relieved to have someone looking after the household.  My parents were eating only toast and convenience foods prior to Harlet's arrival so I am so glad they are eating good home cooked meals now.  My dad can nap in the afternoon now, knowing someone is there to see to my mom's needs while he is sleeping.

Thank you!

Life with Jane is wonderful and happy. Her first week was great. She is already getting Colin to sleep for morning nap without me and he is taking a little bit of formula from the bottle from her too. Jayson says "Jane is nice" and is adjusting well - but they both need more time to get used to each other. She is definitely making our lives easier and less stressful. We get along great.

Dr. Vanessa C.

Hi Samira,

So far things are well with Marites. The kids really like her. She is settling in very well, she’s still trying to get used to our family routine. She has her SIN number, her bank account and her cell phone all set up already so she’s pretty much set. We do the cooking ourselves, she helps with the cleaning up after and some prep work, I am sure she’s happy with that. Housework wise, she’s taken initiative and overall is pretty clean. Just has to teach her to conserve on paper towels! I think she learns very quickly. She has made another Nanny friend in the neighbourhood whose kids goes to my son’s school. She has shown her the way to Yorkdale Mall.

We’re just waiting for the new born to come and have the whole routine changed!!!! At least she’ll be used to our household.

Thanks again for everything.

Sincerely,

Dr. Vanessa C. Richmond Hill.

Tania P.: April 24, 2009.

Hi Samira. Sorry. My computer has been on the fritz lately.

Jemar has been wonderful. Tomorrow is her first official day ALONE without Melanie with both kids at home.

Her personality is so sweet and we have all grown to love her very quickly. Especially the kids. My son warmed up to her in only about ½ hour. I can’t tell you how things have gone. But she came at the most hectic time for us so if she can survive the last 2 weeks she is here to stay.

Melanie’s official last day with us is today. We had a nice dinner and cake for her. However, I went further and let her stay with us for one extra week while she is volunteering at the nursing home in Richmond Hill . Her commute from the Danforth to there would mean she would need to be up at 4:30am each day. I guess I felt sorry for her and let her stay. I know it must be scary to get out into the real world. It was my gift to her for being so good to my kids for the year. I went to leave things off on a good note.

Regardless, Jemar is wonderful. We are so pleased. I know its still early and we will see how things go in the next little while as she will be alone with the kids but so far so good.

Thanks and more thanks.

I also bought her a welcome package and sat her down and told her to cut the formalities out right away. She is working on it. So sweet and great in drawing and art which my daughter likes and firm with my son. I am looking forward to her.

We really like her and I thank you so very much.

Hi Samira,

I don’t know how I survived before Chique! She’s been very helpful, picks up on things quickly, particularly with Jessica’s routine. She asked for a stethoscope to check Jessica’s lungs, as she sounded congested. I didn’t have one, but went and bought one. Chique said her left lung was just starting to get crackly and she then began daily respiratory therapy (and I believe may have saved us from a bout of pneumonia). She’s very good!

As Chique is quiet and my kids are a bit quiet, they’ve slowly been getting to know each other. It’s all very pleasant, but I find at dinner the kids still talk more to me and I try to get them to tell Chique their stories too. It’s definitely coming along and she was a good choice. She works hard and keeps the house spotless. I keep up with things on the weekends so she doesn’t come back to a mess, but during the week I don’t have to help her much (which frees me up to work on my courses). We couldn’t be happier, she’s a lovely young lady! Thank you so much!

Chique also mentioned that she referred a friend of hers to you. She said she knows you’ll find her friend a good placement. You have well deserved stellar reputation Samira! Take care and we’ll look forward to hearing back from the government in a few weeks!

All the best,
Susan B. Oakville.

Hi Samira,
I just wanted to let you know that so far Marilou is turning out to be a dream nanny and my house has never been so impeccably clean! My daughter adores her already, and after 3.5 years of having my child come into my room every morning and drag me out of bed to get her breakfast or play with her, I had two days in a row last week while I was on vacation where she went to Marilou and let me sleep in a little bit. WOW! I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to actually be able to stay in bed for a few extra minutes….wh8ich being a single mom is one of life’s little pleasures I didn’t get to do until now. We are just working on her cooking skills, and at her requesrt I am trying to find enough to do to keep her busy while my daughter is in school full days until june, but I would have to say things are going very well.
